I am an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Fredericton. Since joining UNB in 2016, I have been involved in various collaborative research projects and supervise graduate and undergraduate students. My research expertise includes open economy macroeconomics, financial regulations, open economy macroeconomics, public policy, and migration. I have published in multiple journals, including the European Journals of Political Economy, Empirical Economics, Canadian Public Policy, and Review of Sustainable and Renewable Energy. As a researcher, my professional commitment revolves around advancing the capabilities and enhancing the liberty of human livelihood. I strive for social inclusion, diversity, equity, and justice.
I am a passionate teacher. Since the beginning of my career, I have developed new courses and offered a wide range of courses for my students. As an educator, I firmly believe that instilling self-assurance in my students' critical thinking skills and capacity to articulate their knowledge is paramount. As part of my recognition of dedicated and passionate teaching, I have been awarded the prestigious Allan P. Stuart Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching at UNB. I am also engaged in various services within and outside of UNB as part of my professional commitment.
